ACTOR.

You want to be a thespian? At the beginning of each semester we are looking for a new cast. So come and join us for the open auditions! Dates will be announced in advance. To join the cast you don’t need any prior experience. You only need to enjoy theatre!

CREW.

Theatre wouldn’t be anything without lights, costumes, a set design, make-up or PR! So become a maniACT and be in charge or just help out with anything that goes on backstage! No prior experience required!

DIRECTOR.

You want to be in charge of your own production? We provide the infrastructure to help you turn your theatre dreams into reality! You only need to pitch us your project convincingly and you may be directing our next show.

Great – we give you the opportunity to do just that! We provide the infrastructure to help you turn your theatre dreams into reality!

PITCH YOUR PLAY.

Twice a year – normally in February / March and in August – we decide who is going to be the next maniACTs director. If you are interested in putting on a play with us, all you need to do is send us your pitch! Get in touch with us and send us the following information:

• title and author of the play (must be an English language play; no translated works)
• a short summary of the play
• the number of characters (male/female) and a short description
• a brief outline of your interpretation of the play, your directorial focus or concept.
• your ideas on stage design, sound, lights, costumes, props, and make up
• a digital copy of the play (ideally in its final version i.e. including all cuts or additions).
